Holiday Meal Baskets

Please complete and return the registration form to the Rectory during that 2 week period and a volunteer will contact you to schedule a pick-up time.

We will begin collecting food for baskets to be given out to Gloucester City community members. We will be collecting non-perishable items as well as monetary donations throughout the holiday season.

Monetary Donations: Monetary donations are to be taken or mailed directly to the rectory. When making a monetary donation, please indicate “Thanksgiving Baskets” on your envelope. Shoprite gift cards will also be accepted.

Food Donations: This year we are asking parishioners who plan on donating food to reference the itemized list below, which is designated by the first letter of the parishioner’s last name. This will ensure that we do not collect an overabundance of one particular item. Please drop all non-perishable food items in the food bank receptacle in the back of Church.

Letters A-F: instant mashed potatoes, stuffing mix, gravy, cranberry sauce, canned yams

Letters G-L: canned vegetables, canned fruit, beans (canned or dry), canned soups

Letters M-R: breakfast cereals, oatmeal, pancake mix, pasta, rice, peanut butter

Letters S-Z: foil roasting pans, Jell-O, pudding mix, applesauce, canned tuna or chicken

If you or anyone you know need assistance during this holiday season and would like to receive a Thanksgiving basket, please submit the name of the family, their address, the number of adults and  children sharing the meal and a contact phone number to the rectory via mail or phone starting November 5th. Please be  assured that all of the names submitted will remain confidential. Thanksgiving baskets will NOW BE PICKED UP at the St. Mary’s Rectory Basement at the back door off of Somerset Street. PROPER I.D. WILL BE REQUIRED! If you have any questions, please call The Rectory at 856-456-0052.
